This is the room of the wolfmother wallpaper.

When the seasons changed from spring to summer, my apartment got real hot and stuffy, but in a sort of calm way. Everything was real still, too hot to move in the 1960's built apartment that lacked central air conditioning. I'd leave the windows open, but only until the sun made way overhead. For some reason, the summer made me confident. I could walk down the Alameda, it's pavement lined with Mom & Pop shops, and not be affected by the lonesome shadow on the sidewalk. I'd enjoy staying home often during these times.

Those days, I'd really embrace my independence... long enough to let the feeling remain on the tip of my tongue.
